This has nothing to do with racism of any sort nor does a noticeable presence of many Afro-Americans at the Tea Party parades in Washington D.C. It has to be pretty dismal in America for 100,000 people to march on Washington, I watched the 1964 march on my neighbor's Zenith because our Philco was on the blink. I really do not know if we can separate the intrinsic and visceral disillusionment that characterized both peaceful protests as being any different. My mother, a Holocaust survivor from Budapest, always advised me as a Hungarian Jew myself, "Never put a Jew in the limelight". It sounds self deprecating and definitely in no way was ascribed to other ethnic groups. It just means that if you elect one of us and something goes wrong, look out.I am not attributing her motherly advice by expressing any notion whatsoever that Obama's inability to ameliorate the economy and get a good handle on global matters is going to reflect negatively on anyone no matter what, my mother told me this in 1955. I also believe that Black people in this country should stand with Obama just as anyone else who supports him right to the day he leaves office no matter what. You have to stand behind a man who achieved something that in the 1950's would have been like science fiction or going to the moon. My reference to Black individuals in America being somewhat frustrated with him is the fact that they are suffering with higher unemployment numbers and higher proportional costs of living is not fair and the change they were hoping for along with his many other supporters has never to this day been even partially realized.Calling people out as racists every which way will only worsen our plight together.Jay Adlerhttp://freelanceman4.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5877221018800830362.post-46535373682140677182009-09-13T16:58:44.320-04:002009-09-13T16:58:44.320-04:00Here's a funny sign illustrating the issue fro...Here's a funny sign illustrating the issue from the 9/12 protest:
http://moderateinthemiddle.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/racistsign.jpg?w=225&h=300Brian Yoderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10570592912380834276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5877221018800830362.post-45466974725015241262009-09-13T16:02:05.618-04:002009-09-13T16:02:05.618-04:00I suspect that the long-term impact of all of thes...I suspect that the long-term impact of all of these absurd accusations of racism will be the same as the little boy who cried wolf. They should not be surprised if people stop paying attention to them about such charges. I know I already have.

Can they seriously believe that if someone equally liberal like John Kerry had proposed the same things the reactions wouldn't be the same? It's hard to imagine what it must be like inside the heads of these liberal pundits.Brian Yoderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10570592912380834276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5877221018800830362.post-13697212884650874432009-09-13T16:01:02.208-04:002009-09-13T16:01:02.208-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Brian Yoderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10570592912380834276noreply@blogger.com
