The problem the Democrats face is that they want to appeal to the "everyman" and they think that to do that they need to demonize big business and profits (i.e. health insurance companies). What they forget is that the "everyman" strives to be part of that wealthy class. Saying that it's a crime to be there makes people stop and think for a second about what they really want--do they want the easy healthcare that's lower in quality but cheaper; or do they want the chance to earn more, work their way up, and live with a great healthcare plan in the best healthcare system, quality-wise in the world.Alex Sommerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02318053008557921745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5877221018800830362.post-43461451578015892542010-01-21T16:31:46.083-05:002010-01-21T16:31:46.083-05:00Your point makes me think of the advertising campa...Your point makes me think of the advertising campaign of California based Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser's slogan is that they want your to "Live well, be well, and thrive." Imagine if the democrats had borrowed that slogan. Would have helped create a takeaway statement to define their plan.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5877221018800830362.post-91672739202034215182010-01-20T08:44:05.064-05:002010-01-20T08:44:05.064-05:00We Christians believe that from most every tragedy...We Christians believe that from most every tragedy, afterwards, there is a greater good that comes from it.
Such a thought amidst our grief comforts us.

With this in mind, I cannot but help think that when God intervenes in History, He does so with a crooked finger.
Now I can put Ted Kennedy & the corrupt healthcare bill to rest.

Ah, I can already hear your Amens.
Nice column Jim, thanksPeter913https://www.blogger.com/profile/01805602464724466047noreply@blogger.com
